Travellers who want to reach the beautiful island of Zante in Greece have two options when it comes to accessing the island by air. They can either book a direct charter flight from major British airports during the summer tourist season (April thru October) or can fly into Athens, where daily flights depart from the Greek capital and arrive in Zante within 45 minutes.
Arriving in Zante the airport is located in Ampelokipi and is about 3km from Zante Town and situated between the resorts of Kalamki and Laganas. The only option for transportation from the airport is taxi.
Most flights to Zante from the UK are run on a charter basis as part of package holidays with excess seats sold off for those who simply want a flight. Due to this fact, the cost of an excess charter seat is generally must cheaper than a regularly scheduled flight. The trade-off however is that the flights feature more restricted services then one can expect from a budget airline or major airline.
Charter flights from the UK to Zante take about four hours and are direct flights making it easy to arrive in your holiday destination. They depart from several different airports throughout Britain including Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Stansted, Luton, Doncaster, East Midlands, Dublin, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, and Gatwick.
