The Argassi resort is about ten minutes away from the Zante airport and is generally favoured by families looking for an enjoyable holiday location.  Within the resort area there are plenty of smart hotels, village rooms, and apartments with plenty of activities that will keep children and most adults occupied including an animal farm and a mini golf course.

For adults, there are plenty of taverns and restaurants as well as a sprinkling of discos that cater more to the mid range party crowd that likes the experience but does not want to deal with round the clock partying.    There are also plenty of shops and snack bars scattered around the Argassi resort area with many people choosing to cook their own food.

The beach surrounding the resort is not very wide making it hard to find a spot to lie out in the sun and due to the litter most people opt to use sun beds which quickly fill up what little beach space there is.  However, the shoreline is sandy and the waters are shallow and warm making it an ideal location for young children.

For the more adventurous there are plenty of secluded coves that line the shore of the beach as it stretches towards Vassilikos.
