Limini Keriou sits to the west of Laganas Bay and on the southern edge of Zante.  The area is known as the location of the only buildings that survived the 1953 earthquakes and thus the most historical resort area on the island.

The beach that lines the Limini Keriou resort is mostly made of pebbles instead of sand, but is nonetheless attractive and shallow enough that children enjoy it as well as adults.  Additionally, there is a small river inlet that runs through the beach that makes for enjoyable wadding as well.

One of the charms of the Limini Keriou beach is that behind the coast are multitudes of paths that lead adventurous hikers into secluded cloves and even a whitewashed lighthouse that offers majestic views over the cliffs.

Those that want to see the great turtles of Zante can book a boat tour from the Limini Keriou resort but reservations tend to get full quickly so book early if planning a trip.

Easily accessible from the Limini Keriou resort is the village of Lithakia, which is the most historical city on Zante and is where the church of Agios Ioannis is located, one of the oldest standing structures on the island.
